TREND LINES IN CONTROL CHARTS
In general, Control Charts are line graphs in which the process is shown as a TREND LINE drawn on a chart
along  with these three lines:                       _                                                                                                  _
1.) A mean ( X ) or central line represents the average value of the process.  X is the same as X-bar.
2.)  An upper control limit ( UCL ) drawn at a calculated distance above the central line which represents
the maximum variation  that could be expected if only normal cause of variation are present.
3.)  A lower control limit ( LCL ) drawn at a calculated distance below the central line which
represents the minimum variation  which could be expected only when normal causes of variation are present.
