MIL-STD-105A
In 1950 the U.S. Military introduced MIL-STD-105A sampling
tables and procedures for
inspection by attributes. It eliminated the need for 100%
inspection and effectively started
Quality Control on using statistical methods to monitor
production.
MIL-STD-414
About 1953 the U.S. Military introduced the MIL-STD-414 for sampling by
variables.
