ELECTROCHEMICAL EQUIVALENT
The number of grams of an element plated out or dissolved by the passage of one coulomb of electricity.

ELECTROCLEANING
The cleaning of parts with electric current in a cleaning solution.

ELECTOGALVANIZED STEEL
Steel plated with pure zinc, zinc-nickel or zinc-iron deposit for corrosion protection.

ELECTRODE
A conductive  current-carrying terminal of an elctrolyticall system the positive (+)
is called 'Anode';  the negative (-) is called 'Cathode'.

ELECTROFORMING
The production of complete articles by heavy electrodeposition using a mandrel or mold. Examples are the fine mesh
screens for filters and shaving implements.

ELECTROLESS PLATING
Metal deposition by controlled chemical reduction, catalyzed by the metal or alloy being deposited. No electric current is needed.

ELECTROLYSIS
Producing chemical changes by passing current through a bath;
( aka 'electro-plating' if the solution contains metal ions ).

ELECTROLYTE
Any chemical solution that will carry electric current;
( such as a plating bath  electro-cleaner   and electro-acid ).

EMI
ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE

EMM
ENHANCED MONITORING METHODOLOGY

EMPOWERMENT
Giving employees relatively broad decision-making authority and responsibility.
In order for employees to be  empowered  they also need to be 'enabled ' that is
given the skills and respect needed to do their jobs  effectively.
